TE Connectivity is presenting its advanced solutions for in-flight connectivity at the 2014 Aircraft Interiors Expo, Hall B6, Booth # 6C19, April 8-10, in Hamburg Messe, Germany.
TE announces the industry’s new standard connector for aircraft equipment and cabin systems, including its DEUTSCH DMC-M Series Single Module EN4165 connectors. Designed with a wide range of contact arrangements to address necessary requirements, the connector’s key features include lightweight composite, modularity, color and mechanical coding and push-pull coupling. In addition, a new insert assembly with six lines of 15 A power and full GbE connectivity will also be on display.
In addition, TE will feature:
- Rectangular Connectors which give designers the flexibility to help meet virtually any interconnection need. Choose from traditional ARINC styles, GPR connectors for galleys or a range of reduced-footprint microminiature connectors.
- High Speed I/O copper Connectors which support aerospace networking performance. TE’s Quadrax contacts support 100-ohm GbE and 150-ohm fiber channel. The system includes contacts, QUADLITE cable, and inserts for industry-standard circular and rectangular connectors. TE will also feature its CeeLok FAS-T and CeeLok FAS-X connectors enabling 10 GbE speeds for use with Cat5e and Cat6a cables.
- Composite EMI Covers which provide a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to metal board level EMI covers. The shields are custom molded for each customer’s specific RF applications and are available in electroplated and carbon-composite options.
- DEUTSCH 369 Series Connectors which are designed for applications where fewer contacts are needed per connector and shielding is unnecessary. Aerospace grade materials meet stringent smoke, toxicity and flammability requirements. Full sealing helps ensure reliability in areas of high moisture.
