AmpSeal 16 mini lever 16 and 24 position hybrid connectors for sealed applications

In an effort to offer additional flexibility for bulkhead and pass-through applications, TE Connectivity has launched new AmpSeal 16 mini lever 16 and 24 position hybrid connectors for sealed applications. The wire-to-wire connectors, with an IP6K7/IP6K9K rating to protect against water and dust, provide vital environmental protection for industries operating in harsh environments.

ampseal-16-mini-lever-hybrid connectors group-photoKey features of the AmpSeal 16 mini lever 16 and 24 position hybrid connectors include an ergonomic lever lock system, which provides ease of assembly, and an integrated Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) and Connector Position Assurance (CPA) that protects against accidental unlocking and confirms precise contact position. The connectors also help to reduce application costs and assembly time with a tool-less mounting design and “drop and slide” mounting clips that are available in three sizes.

“Improving flexibility in the industrial and commercial transportation industry with new and improved connectors continues to be top of mind for us at TE Connectivity,” said Emery Gary, product manager, Industrial and Commercial Transportation, TE Connectivity. “The new AmpSeal 16 mini lever 16 and 24 position hybrid connectors are an ergonomic, flexible choice for wire-to-wire applications, especially those operating in harsh environments, and further enhance our commitment to designing products that meet the industry’s ever-changing needs.”

For wire bundling and corrugated tubing, 90° and 180° wire dress covers can also be purchased alongside the AmpSeal 16 mini lever connectors enabling design flexibility. The connectors utilize proven Deutsch stamped and formed size 12 and 20 pin and socket terminals and AmpSeal 16 heavy duty stamped and formed (HDSF) size 16 pin and socket terminals, and are Mil Standard C-39029 approved.
