January 22, 2016 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

CDM.TM. Lightning Protection.1.21.6CDM Electronics, a premier authorized distributor of electronic connectors and cables, now stocks the full Times Microwave Systems’ Times-Protect Series of surge and lightning protection products and accessories.

These uniquely engineered connectors meet or surpass all industrial, commercial, military and aerospace wireless communications standards for equipment and infrastructure with a frequency operating band from DC to 6 GHz. The Times-Protect Series (LP-XXX) features a proprietary DC blocking technology to support optimum isolation in the event of multiple lightning strikes and subsequent power surges. Easy-to-install with Type N or 7/16 DIN interconnects, protectors are offered with an IP65- or IP67-rated shield that makes them suitable for outdoor as well as indoor use.

Low PIM (Passive Intermodulation) versions for specialized applications are also provided. Parts are supplied in numerous configurations and mounting arrangements to maximize design flexibility in both new and retrofit applications.

The economical, small protectors are the ideal RF equipment protection solution for the widest range of UHF, VHF, LTE and broadband telecommunications equipment and communications networks in which space is limited and surge and lightning protection is required. Products are commonly employed in a variety of industries and applications including, SCADA, LMR (Land Mobile Radio), oil and gas electronics and communications, alternative energy signal and control equipment, industrial automation and robotics, railway communications infrastructure and PTC (Positive Train Control), aerospace actuation and sensor signal control, and cellular carriers.

The Times-Protect Series’ white bronze-plated housing ensures excellent multi-strike performance and exceptional longevity. All parts are supplied with visual markings to facilitate easy and accurate installation. CDM Electronics also stocks a comprehensive inventory of Times Microwave’s LMR Series of high performance, flexible low loss 50 ohm cables for wireless applications.
