LEMO, Rohnert Park, Calif., will demonstrate its latest connection and cable solutions for medical applications in Booth #1955 during MDM West in Anaheim from February 7-9. The company plans to share some new LEMO products as well as a new solution for the next generation of catheter products including:
- Halo LED is a lighted flange that displays connection status and is currently compatible with the existing 1B, 1K and 2K series. This connector solution assists in displaying the connection status, prevents counterfeit functioning, unauthorized use, blind mating and only applies power when allowed. We reported on this technology last spring. It was also paired up with LEMO’s smart connector design to ensure secure, correct connections.
Multi-Concentric Connector for any blind mating power applications such as portable medical equipment.
- Anglissimo Connector series is a right angle plug that allows the customer to position the cable exit angle in one of eight possible positions during assembly. The solution is ideal in designs where many cables need to be positioned in a precise way to manage cable clutter. The product is currently available in 3 sizes 0B, 1B and 2B series with electrical contacts ranging from 2 to 32.
- LEMO will also be demonstrating new products (that have yet to be released) including the next generation of connectors for the single patient use catheter market and expanded beam optical fiber applications.
Northwire Inc., a LEMO Group Company, will also be in the booth demonstrating its latest medical cable and wire solutions including its new BioCompatic USP Class VI Medical Grade Cable. The company first introduced this cable at MD&M West last year, and we even were able to get our hands on a sample for a quick video preview below.
