Modular connectors for automatic docking and robot systems

ODU is introducing to the US market its ODU Dock Silver-Line, a modular connector designed for automatic docking and robot systems. The ODU Dock Silver-Line can be inserted manually, electrically or pneumatically and it is ideal for multi-couplings, tool change systems, and docking systems. This connector solution consists of housing, insulator, and contacts. These three components allow ODU to provide various solutions.

ODU-Dock Silver Line modular connectorsWith the use of ODU Springtac technology, this high-performance connector also features high packing density, high contact stability, EMC shielded and it can safely withstand over 100,000 mating cycles. The ODU Dock Quick Change Head is suitable for applications that require even higher mating cycles. It can be configured with various transmission types from signal and power to coax, air, fluids, and high-speed data or fiber optic.

Connectors for docking and robot systems have become essential in industrial manufacturing and production processes. They rely heavily on dependable automatic docking and extremely robust connection systems with a high level of contact safety. Designed with robust housing, integrated strain relief, and a high level of contact safety, the ODU Dock Silver-Line has been constructed to meet these requirements, making it ideal for applications such as, but not limited to, tool change systems, test equipment, and industrial robots.
