Modular plug-in connector system makes safe, functional installations easy

August 16, 2020 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

Industrial applications are becoming increasingly complex. The demands being made of the connectivity used are growing at the same time.

Weidmuller-Rockstar-Moduplug-modular-connector-systemFunctionality in the smallest of installation spaces, safe installation and a fast retrofitting process are just some of the product properties being called for. Not only does Weidmuller’s RockStar ModuPlug modular plug-in connector system meet current market requirements, it has been specially designed with the future in mind too.

The modular system RockStar ModuPlug integrates more functions with less weight and space requirements in the connector.

The newest innovations to the Moduplug family include the RJ45 and pneumatic inserts. A full range of RJ45 inserts and special slimline CAT 6 patch cords are available including a gender changer in addition to some field attachable connector modules coded EIA/TIA T568 A, B and Profinet using either IDC and crimp connection technology. For pneumatics, the company has added a two pole and a three pole version. There are four contact sizes available — 1.6, 3, 4 and 6.
