ODU MINI-SNAP circular connectors feature a push-pull locking mechanism for a self-securing design for a wide range of applications. They can transfer power, signal, data or media.
ODU’s Push-Pull principle reliably ensures that the connection never releases until you want it to. Once mated, the ODU MINI-SNAP locks itself into the receptacle. The mated connector can no longer be separated by just pulling on the cable. When the operator is ready, the plug can easily be demated from the receptacle by pulling back on the outer sleeve of the connector housing.
The ODU MINI-SNAP is available in a wide range of sizes and configurations and three basic keying options, including:
• Pin-and-groove keying – available in L, K and B series
• Half-shell keying – available in F series
• Keying using split insulators — available in S series
Pin-and-groove keying is available up to six sizes, with IP 50 and IP 68 protection ratings. They feature solder, crimp or PCB termination contacts and 2 to 40 pins/mixed inserts for 5,000+ mating cycles.
Half-shell designs are available in five sizes, also for life cycles of more than 5,000 cycles. They are compatible with standard products on the market, with a wide variety of plugs and receptacles. Available with 2-27 pins/mixed inserts, they too feature solder, crimp or PCB termination contacts and are available with IP 50 and IP 68 protection ratings in the same outer diameter.
Keying using the connector insulation body is available in three sizes and with solder, crimp or PCB termination contacts and are available with IP 50 and IP 68 protection ratings in the same outer diameter. This design is available with 2-10 pins/mixed inserts for 5,000+ mating cycles.
These custom hybrid designs can be mixed and matched by using ODU’s large variety of custom hybrid inserts.
