Rear-mount connectors fit RG-58 and LMR-195 cables

November 10, 2025 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

Amphenol RF has expanded its line of automotive and industrial interconnects with the addition of IP67-rated FAKRA straight crimp rear-mount bulkhead plugs. These connectors are compatible with RG-58 and LMR-195 cable types and support reliable RF performance in demanding environments.

The rear-mount bulkhead design allows the connector to pass through a panel or enclosure wall, creating a secure and mechanically stable connection point. Sealing is maintained in both mated and unmated states. A gasket protects the internal interface, while an O-ring seal between the flange and panel mount provides additional environmental protection against moisture and contaminants.

Each connector features a high-performance plastic housing with color-coded and mechanically keyed options for simplified installation and system alignment. The internal construction includes a nickel-plated diecast zinc body and flange, a gold-plated brass center contact, and a nickel-plated copper ferrule for long-term durability and conductivity.

Rated for 50 ohms, the connectors support data transmission up to 6 GHz and can be terminated using standard straight crimp die sets. The series extends Amphenol RF’s portfolio of waterproof IP67 FAKRA connectors designed for use in automotive and industrial systems, including satellite communications, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and machine-to-machine communication modules.
