The new silicone over mold technology has a no stick-slip effect, which makes these solutions easy to clean, and has up to 500 autoclave cycles. It also creates bend protection and smooth transitioning over molding, making them ideal for applications in the medical industry such as, but not limited to, endoscopy, surgical and dental applications. Additional customer benefits include: liquid or solid silicone offering globally available, various standard over molding inserts and halogen and latex-free solutions.

The ODU North America facility specializes in rapid prototyping and projects ranging from medium to large-sized volumes. The local capabilities include: an environmentally controlled pressurized workroom, a dedicated silicone over mold machine with a vertical free-space system, clamping force of 28 tones and an injection unit of 1.4 oz and 2.3 oz, approved LSR ( liquid silicone rubber) process, connector solutions tested for medical technology use and individual laser labeling. The ODU International Silicone Cable Assembly capabilities include also a clean room EN ISO 14644-1, tool shop for customized molds, electroplating shop, an on-site laboratory and an on-site technology center.
