Keystone Electronics has introduced a SEMS screw option for its PCB screw terminals, intended to simplify wire attachment and improve mechanical stability in board-level applications. The addition of a preassembled SEMS screw allows users to secure wire leads, including bare wires, without the twisting that can occur during tightening.
The terminals are rated for 15- and 30-amp operation and use an anti-rotation, non-rocking design to maintain stability in high-density layouts. The SEMS screw includes a captive, free-spinning lock washer that helps maintain clamping force while preventing the wire from spinning as the screw is tightened. These terminals are available in both horizontal and vertical mounting styles to accommodate a range of PCB layouts.
The devices are produced from tin-plated brass and can be supplied with the SEMS hardware already installed or unassembled. Keystone offers the terminals through its global distribution network and online channels. The company manufactures a broad range of interconnect hardware and provides machining, stamping, and assembly services for customized or modified designs.
Keystone Electronics holds ISO-9001:2015 certification and maintains facilities in the United States, with additional offices in Canada, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
