US Conec launches multi-fiber structured cabling connector

September 19, 2017 By Mary Gannon Leave a Comment

US-Conec-MPT-Pro-structured-cabling-connectorConec announces the immediate availability of the next generation multi-fiber MTP connector—MTP PRO. This state-of-the-art connector offers simple and robust field configurability, ease of use, and enhanced performance. The MTP PRO connector leverages all the proven features and technology of US Conec’s existing MTP connectors while providing optimal flexibility and enhanced performance.

Polarity and pin reconfiguration of cables produced with the MTP PRO connectors are easily performed in the field without disassembly of the connector and require no special skills or training. The MTP PRO guide pins can be effortlessly installed or removed countless times with no need to ever handle loose pins and no reduction in pin retention force. The novel pin holder design far exceeds the industry standards for pin retention force ensuring pin transfer or loss of pins in the field will never occur. One simple insertion of the MTP PRO connector into a polarity change port transforms the cable from one polarity methodology to another.

The MTP PRO brings simplified use to the MPO format by offering true push-pull functionality with a large integrated insertion and extraction sleeve without compromising connector footprint. Enhanced latching and alignment features of the MTP PRO reduce debris generation resulting in trouble-free installations. A newly designed, non-debris generating, anti-static dust cap ensures a pristine connector end face from the factory to the field.
