I-PEX is adding a vertical type board-in connector to its IARPB® connector series, which has gained popularity in the automotive market for its lightweight and compact design. With the addition of functions such as adaptive driving beam (ADB) to headlamps, there is an ongoing demand for space-saving components. To meet this demand, I-PEX has developed the vertical type board-in connector, which enhances space efficiency by routing the wire harness vertically to the board. This design may increase the flexibility in circuit board layout and aid customers in reducing the weight and size of their designs.

The Vertical Type IARPB board-in connector features a high-vibration-resistant housing due to its bossed structure. This provides excellent visibility of the terminals after mounting. Additionally, the terminals are tin-plated around the entire circumference to ensure stable solder wettability.
