Lemo Connectors get a new outer shell design

December 5, 2017 By Lee Teschler Leave a Comment

The outer shell for the widely used Lemo Connectors S Series has been redesigned with an iconic “chocolate block” look. The S Series uses the half-moon insert configuration and is fully compatible with the existing S Series connectors that have been commercially available since the early 1960s. Both the straight plug and free receptacle now use the same collet as in LEMO’s widely used B Series, offering a slightly different cable range than the previous S Series. LEMO’s S Series is available in Sizes 0S, 1S and 2S for cables ranging from 1.4 mm to 9.9 mm and offers multipole contacts from 2 to 10, as well as unipole, coax, triax and multiconcentric configurations.

The S Series offers an innovative design for applications such as broadcast, audio/video,Lemo Connectors
communications (GPS, antennas, & transmitters), test and measurement (high-end probes), battery chargers, high current and high power, medical probes and other general purpose type applications. The S Series is a good candidate for anti-rotation and blind mating applications.
