ODU-USA forms strategic partnership with Red Digital Cinema for custom connectors

ODU, Camarillo, Calif., is announcing its strategic partnership with RED Digital Cinema, a manufacturer of professional digital cameras.

ODU USA RED Picture for Press ReleaseRED DSMC2 cameras are available in a variety of sensor options including high-end frame and data rates. RED’s cameras require a customizable connector solution that integrates seamlessly both visually and functionally with its multitude of camera add-ons.

“Our camera products are used on some of the biggest productions in the world, so we only utilize the highest-grade components that ensure reliability and performance,” said Jarred Land, President of RED Digital Cinema. “The connectors from ODU check all the boxes and give our mutual customers another industry alternative.”

The ODU Mini-Snap, a circular push-pull connector in a metal housing is available in various locking types and is fully customizable. An ODU Mini-Snap connector, both plug and receptacle, was produced in eight variations to meet RED’s requirements.
